Welcome! The Confirmation Program is designed so that busy families can still assure that their confirmation-age children still receive quality preparation for confirmation in the Christian faith. We meet during the middle hour on Sundays (not Brunch Sundays). The teaching staff includes Daphne Corbett, our Youth Minister, and the two priests, the Revs. Larry Crockett and Lisa Cressman. The program concludes with a TEC retreat. Our new program begins this January (must be at least 13); we are happy to accept students from outside the congregation. Those who have completed two years already will be asked to do a Teens Encounter Christ retreat (schedule to be announced) prior to their confirmation by the bishop.
Each meeting requires about two hours of homework (including memorizing important Bible passages and prayer), most of it on-line with engaging web-based instruction (see for yourself, tour the Introduction to the Bible). As a result, our students engage in at least 120 hours of thoughtful, prayerful preparation for confirmation in the Christian faith.
